PLEASE FOLLOW GOOD PLUMBING PRACTICES:
Some helpful tips that could save you big headaches.
• Pipe joints will leak

• Vibration can loosen bolts on pump
resulting in leaks.

• Vibration noise may rattle the pipes.

• Check Valves may close piping system.  
Result n pressure build-up.  See the thermo-
expansion tank diagram below.
1. Mount pump securely on a stable surface
that is level and snug it down but not too
tight.

2. Attach pipes after pump is securely
attached to level surface.

3. Never stress piping when attaching to
pump, this will cause many complications.

4. Avoid adding shims to make the pump
level.

• Pump systems usually have a check valve
to prevent reverse flow.

• An expansion tank can be installed to
prevent overpressure.  

• When cold water heats up it expands.  
The expansion tank will balance the system.

• The expansion tank allows the system to
relieve pressure, which alleviates the stress
on the pump and piping.

• Follow the diagram when installing an
expansion tank to maintain the integrity of
your plumbing system.
